Health centre and school in The Gambia 

Our Lent Appeal this year was an exciting development of a health centre in a village in a rural area of The Gambia. This project is supported entirely by volunteers, and was co-founded by Howard, the IntoWork team leader at the ClementJames Centre. Nearly £9000 has been raised by the parish so far this year.

The clinic will be up and running by October. £200 per month will pay for two nurses, a cleaner, and an administrator. £400 per month will feed 100 children in school every day. £8500 will pay for a borehole to provide water for the clinic and to support the crop programme. Solar panels are needed to provide electricity for the clinic 24/7 and to power the borehole (£7000 still to find.)
