About Us

  • St Clement and St James together make up one extraordinarily diverse parish.  To the south of the parish is one of the richest parts of the city, while in the north, a few minutes walk away, is one of the poorest places in Britain.
  • Our congregation is diverse, being drawn from many backgrounds.  We are an inclusive church and welcome everyone regardless of age, gender, sexuality, race, income or nationality.  You too are most welcome!
  • Our style of worship is one that is reverent and sacramental, but not stuffy! Our hope and prayer is these services will uplift and strengthen you for the week ahead.
  • We have a long tradition of community action and have a strong relationship with our church school.
  • Our sister charity, The ClementJames Centre offers a huge range of educational, literacy and support programmes.  Grenfell Tower stands in the parish, and St Clement had an important role in the relief operation following the fire.
  • At St James, we usually run a Summer Speaker programme and an annual fete.
  • We also have a Facebook Group Page. If you would like to join us on this group please click on the link!
Every blessing.
